I just jailbroke my iPhone 3G with PwnageTool 3.0 and when it starts up, it says my SIM card is locked. So I unlock it and it doesn't find the Vodafone NZ network... Does anyone else have this problem? What am I doing wrong?

Did You use Simple mode or Expert mode in PwnageTool? I ask as I have done this before and accidentally left the "Activate" checked which stopped me from getting a signal. You don't need to do that if it is a NZ iPhone as they are unlocked and Apple will activate for you when it's connected to iTunes.

To fix I had to RESTORE to original firmware then re-jailbreak using "Expert Mode" and making sure that the "Activate" was unchecked.

Cheers

I used Simple mode. Thanks. I know what to do now.
