Looks like the TomTom iPhone Windshield Mount and cradle will include its own GPS chip and Antenna

Yes, they hinted at that during the keynote presentation

This is the main reason I'm waiting on the TomTom vs any other real-time nav application - the GPS chipset inside the iPhone just isn't comparable to most commercial GPS's for fix time and refresh rate. In my experience this becomes rather important for real-time directions (especially in built up areas with lots of tall building or other obstructions).

I had assumed it was enhanced from keynote, but was not sure that it was an antenna or an additional chip, or both.

Absolutely agree on the quality of internal GPS chipset.
Now to see what the price will be for both.
