Go to http://www.apple.com/nz/store/ and select your model of iPhone 3Gs and order it direct from Apple. (5-7 days shipping time) *limit 1 or 2 handsets per purchase.*

Oh and it's $30 cheaper than getting it though Vodafone. and did I mention there where no restrictions on your carrier...

Hows them apples.

Jebuz man, there are posts on this already. Of course you can do exactly the same thing through Vodafone online. You pay $30 more but would have received it tomorrow if youd placed the order early enough (even today for those in AKL).

PaulB from Vodafone said they had to ensure people couldn't buy them with a contract to stop the pirates flying in and buying them all up to sell offshore?!?!?! Funny.

I'm bravely waiting for Telecom to have them, that 4.5 Megabits speedtest from your phone with my XT card was impressive...

I thought this was funny too and it frustrated me until I saw a Chinese guy at work on Friday order 3 handsets via the VF website (using different names but the same credit card) and had all 3 delivered on Friday too.  He is going to send them to China...
