Was quite excited to find I could send 1000 PXTs, and even an MMS on the new iPhone.

Call me stupid- but I can't figure it out... anyone tell me how to do this??

you need 3.0 software, pxt and mms are the same thing and you need to turn tethering on in settings.

Yeah none of that stuff works without downloading OS3.0 through iTunes. Plug your phone in, open iTunes and let it rock!

I'm on 3.0 there is no option to turn on tethering, and no obvious way to send an mms either.
I know I should be able to, but what I'm awing for is a step by step guide, because it just doesn't seem possible at the moment

You've restarted the phone since downloading it? MMS isn't visible until you restart the phone. Tethering is under Settings -> General -> Network.

To MMS, open up Messages, open up a conversation and where you tap to write your message, to the left you'll see an icon for a camera which you can tap on for your MMS options.

Or you can MMS directly from your photo gallery by tapping on the arrow on the bottom left.

It came with 3.0 installed it's a brand new 3gs.

Neither of the above options are available, despite a restart..
CAn anyone verify that these functions do work on the 3gs?

Tethering Guide: http://www.apple.com/iphone/how-to/#basics.using-iphone-as-a-modem

MMS go to 'Messages App' and next to the text input box is a camera image. Press this and you will get a pop up asking if you want to send photo or video and if you want to take new or use existing (if you are on 3GS or just photo on 3G) choose the image/video and then hit send and it will send it.

You must make sure you have all the settings correct for any of the above to work. Here is the post for the file you need to install to enable tethering and here are the instructions for install

Strange...

So I'm running Version 3.0 (7A341), on Voda NZ 4.0 (straight outta the box like this morning)
No camera icon next to text input line for MMS
No internet tethering option.

Whats up!

Turns out there was a carrier update from Vodafone, which automatically installed in iTunes.
After a restart I'm running Voda NZ 4.1 and all is working fine.

Thanks for the help peeps..
