I find myself needing something similar to or an Iphone more and more for my work and play lately.

I am going overseas and wondered if I should hold off till there (Kuala Lumpur and Shanghai, Beijing, Xian)

Will it be cheaper, has anyone had any experience with it, and if I do get one, what are the limitations on using it here.

It seems I can go to unlockit and change my APN to vodafone, what else is a downside ?

Most my data will be over Wifi but would like to use it sometimes for data on my prepay connection.

I have found that NZ is one of the best places to buy an iPhone. They're slight cheaper and come factory unlocked.

I've had a good look overseas from middle east, europe and the states and NZ is really the best place to buy one, aussie is slighty cheaper but it's safe with warranties etc to buy in NZ.
