Lets say you order the iPhone 3GS online from VodafoneNZ and you get the phone and you are not 100% happy, for what ever reason (Yellow Screen would be one for me), what are your rights to return the device for FULL refund, which would of course include cancelling the 24 month contract ?

I'm quite keen to get the new iPhone 3GS but also quite worried about all the reported issues with the device.

I just need to know what the pit falls are.... I know if there is an issue with the iPhone they will send it to Apple to be replaced\repaired who knows???... I for one would not be happy with that and would rather return the device.

Not sure about your rights around getting a full refund and cancellation of the contract.

However, it clearly sounds like you're not that sold on the phone anyway so why bother with it at all? No product can have a 100% guaranteed manufacturing perfection rate. You're indicating if the phone you are given has a fault with it you'd rather not be prepared to have it replaced or fixed at all but simply returned?

Can't be that keen on the product so go with something else, yeah?

You get a 7 day money back guarantee regardless of the reason (at least for the VFNZ online store).

That was when I ordered my phone. It is in the terms and conditions somewhere when purchasing the phone from the VFNZ online store. I would strongly recommend re-checking.

Hallo guys,

I'm Gerald from Indonesia. Nice to know you all. I'm really sorry if i'm out of topic. I just want to ask the advice / input where i can buy the iphone 3g[s] from NZ.

I hear it, the phone in NZ is unlocked. Anyway, i'm not in a rush to have it considering the euforia to this amazing phone is still high. If there's any advice, please kindly inform me because i'm badly to have it. Many thanks guys. I appreciate your response

I'm sorry Gerald, I'm not willing to assist you... It's because of our unlocked handsets being shipped to people like yourself "offshore", that our retailers have placed strict conditions on the purchase of the iPhone handset.

These strict conditions are even making it difficult for some people who live here in New Zealand to purchase an iPhone.

I know it's not YOUR fault as such, but I am certainly not going to assist you to the detriment of my kiwi brothers and sisters.

I suggest you look elsewhere.

I also suggest you don't post the same question in every thread. Thanks!

Many thanks for above response. I do really appreciate it. Anyway, i just dropped my query in 2 thread (here and other). I don't want to cause any problem and incovenience in this website tough :).

Yapzz.. i have thought that it will be hard to buy iphone in NZ considering to policies that have been applied.

One last question, is it possible in upcoming months after the euforia of this new iphone is cooling down, i can still have a chance to order the iphone from NZ? Many thanks guys and cheers.

Why don't you look on www.trademe.co.nz and purchase one from there. The only problem you will have is that you will find it extremely hard to find someone willing to ship a phone to Indonesia due to the large number of scammers that operate from there.

I think only NZ /AUS residents can use TradeMe legally.

Correct me if I'm wrong.

Scammer as in like running illegal operations in order to pay for goods, or something similar.

Like paying for something from a forged card etc.

Your best bet is to look on Ebay. Click here, there are a lot of there already.

Or more specifically, this one

ya bro Aarona, you're absolutely correct. I have known that credit card coming from my country has been denied in most of country because of that activity. It kindly makes hard for anybody here to do the transactions using the credit card.

Anyway, i would like to try to go to your link. Many thanks bro :)
