Now that we've got your attention..

We too wish that Apple were opening a retail store in New Zealand, but it ain't happening and there are no rumors to suggest it is.

Help change the mind's of our Apple colleagues by signing the online petition to bring the iconic Apple retail store to New Zealand.

Note: This petition is in no way affiliated with Apple, Apple NZ or Apple corp, we will simply point them in the direction of this petition.

Yes, not sure why one would even think of setting one up? They have perfectly good partnership with their resellers.

They probably can't even legally open an Apple store while the contract with Renaissance is in place.

As I understand, MagnumMac are having their stores refitted and/or expanded under Apple's guidance. Apparently there will be a new MagnumMac store in Wellington CBD too.

There's a new Magnum Mac store opening on Christchurch's Moorhouse Ave in a few weeks, I've gotta say its looking a lot more modern than their old store. Defiantly a bit of Apple styling going on in the fit out.

It's already opened and was having grand open few weeks ago.

Can't really see a reason for an Apple store in NZ, other than the 'omg-i-want-an-apple-store-in-my-neighbourhood' thing. Plus, MagnumMac stores are already a good place to go and test/see all the Apple gear.

Sorry about the negativity. It's just that it's the least important thing that any of us could do. Plus the bonus points for the misleading subject. Getting attention is all well and good, but not if people resent you for it.

Yup - as with everyone else, I see little or no point in an Apple Store other than you'd be dealing with Apple directly. My experiences with Magnum Mac have been great and their store in Newmarket is much like I would imagine an Allpe store would be anyway.

I guess the because benefit of having an Apple Store in Auckland would be the ease with which we can get support for our Apple products. And of course, I mean Apple is more generous in offering replacement (sometimes on the spot replacement), and quicker repair times.
