I use a DLO VentMount, competition to win one over at iphonewzealand.co.nz, for the holder and for a charger I use a Griffin Autopilot

I'm still waiting for TomTom to hurry up and announce pricing/availability. Their windscreen mount looks rather nice.

Yeah i think i will just wait and see for that, though it does not like you can have a skin or case on when in the holder?

So with the slogan 'A thousand songs, a million roads, sitting on your dashboard' on the tomtom iphone site.  I would assume that you would be able to plug this mount into a car stereo and play your music through it?

Has anyone seen anything that would confirm this?

They mentioned during the presentation at the recent WWDC that you will be able to play your music via the car stereo.

cannot recall but did they say that you could include an external microphone (eg one closer to head height like traditional car hands free)

wouldn't it be cool if your iphone transferred your music via bluetooth or wifi to your headunit....

Surly this isnt far off? Or has the ship sailed already? I've got an pioneer headunit with an iphone adapter that works as a cheap DAC so I get some good sound.. anything else sounded crap. But its a big bulky cord and it gets in the way....

Side topic.. where The F is wireless sync!

djpaubes, i got one of these a few months back.

http://www.bignoise.co.nz/purchase-products/car-audio/cd-dvd-mp3/alpine/1793-alpine-cde-103ebt-cd-mp3-wma-receiver.html

Built in bluetooth for hansdfree phone calls (works a charm with my Moto cell) and A2DP for bluetooth music streaming (cant get this to work on my ipod touch yet though)

plus it has front USB and Aux for any other accessories

Now I just gotta wait for Voda to get me my iPhone (was supposed to be last week, lies!) so i can test the A2DP out.

Ahr this looks like what I want. So it can stream music and the headunit acts like a pair of bluetooth headphones..

Please send us an update when you get your iphone. Would be interested to know how it goes.

Cheers,
