Hey guys,

I'm looking at purchasing a 2nd hand 32GB iPhone 3GS but the present owner does not have the receipt as it was given to him as a gift. The receipt CANT be retrieved from the purchaser due to some complications.

Is there anyway I can track down where the iPhone was purchased from and get them to print out a copy of the receipt? I know the IMEI number and some other serial number.

I have enquired about the online warranty that  you register for when you first connect your iPhone but this online warranty is not enough as you need the actual receipt as proof of purchase....
I don't want to fork out all that money and it go bust on me later on down the track.

Please let me know if there is something I can do

Cheers
