I don't have a 3GS, but rumour has it that this unlock will re-enable full access (including tethering) on XT. Can anyone confirm?

Enabling tethering on XT 3.1.2 has been around for a few weeks as a devteam member first found the soloution. I think what geohot did was just implement that soloution.

Am keen to try it out, just depends if blacksn0w will do anything nasty.

I just patched the CommCenter file on my iPhone as per the various tutorials out there to get tethering working on XT
