It's not really possible since it was done by attempting to SSH phones on the local cellular network.

I suppose, if someone infected came here from AU it could spread to the new local cellular network. Oh lawd.

I heard it only effected iPhones that meet the following conditions:

Jail Broken

SSH Enabled

Root user password not changed.

Yes, that's how it seems to work - plus, the worm seems to be stopped by firewalls too.

Phew, now make sure to disinfect before, if you were ever going to, use XT :P. Gotta keep the good network clean!

Hi there,

can I ask you to post some details (what type of iPhone, etc) and if you could, email me with whatever details you have (including your mobile number etc) so we can do some trace work.

I've seen no sign of it reported on the VF NZ network so any/all inputs gratefully received.

paul dot brislen at vodafone dot com.

cheers

Paul

Ive got a 3Gs.

Not really much to tell.
I enabled SSH on Friday because I couldn't find my memory stick and needed to take a file with me. Only noticed today when I went to make a call. The lockscreen didn't get over ridden due to a custom pic via winterboard.

This time around ill remember to change the root password.

I wonder if I can get the ssh server honeypot working on my iPhone, just for giggles.
