Hi all,

I have an iPhone with sync with my MobileMe account. I have recently just started entering peoples birth dates into my address book under their contact card. I have started to notice however on my iPhone is shows 1 day afterwards.

Example: I enter a birthday for someone as 10 January 1988 - shows up on my computer as that, shows up on MobileMe web interface as that but on my iPhone contacts is will show up as the 11th January 1988 :(

Obviously it sounds like a timezone issue - however I have checked all timezone in every single area on both my computer, MobileMe website and iPhone but still have this problem. The annoying this is for some reason it will sync the incorrect date back to my computer after a few days as well.

I contacted MobileMe support and went through a few things and concluded it wasn't to do with MobileMe at all. Next step is to contact the iPhone Support team.

I was just wondering if anyone else has experienced this problem at all?

Hi,
Sorry, can't add much to the discussion other than to say 'me too' & that it's been a known issue for some time now. I seem to remember reading something about a setting that may help....(not much help, I know)....I'm going to try turning off timezone support under calendar settings & see if that helps lock in the dates.

Cheers,
Mike

Are you running OS 10.6.2?

Update: Just to clarify, now that I'm back on a proper keyboard... I used to have this issue, but since updating to 10.6.2 haven't run into it. It's not an iPhone issue; the same problem occurs with my Sony phone when synching with the OS X Address Book.

I wonder if they they are storing the date in UTC (which is good practice) but not converting it back to NZT +12 GMT for display, or some other mistake in converting for timezones.
