I purchased an Iphone earlier this week, took it into telecom because everything excpet the internt workedand they gave me a list of instructions. Have followed this list but yet my internet still doesnt work. Have tried changing the APN to wap.telecom.co.nz etc An iphone is pretty useless without internet.. Please help!

iphone does not support WAP so don't use that APN

its already been changed back to internet.telecom.co.nz and still doesnt work

Any error mesages?

Does SIM work in another XT handset for internet traffic?

Its th sim i previously had in my samsung f480 and never had an issue with it, havehad no other issues at all with my iphone, only the 'cannot activate cellular data' message

Why not install the carrier bundle found at www.iphonewzealand.co.nz... this may solve your problem, also check that 3g data is on in settings general>network>enable 3g = on

the night I put my sim in it worked, and then the next morning it didnt. The only thing that changed, was that one of the guys at magnum mac plugged it on to put it onto xt, because even though my sim was in it and working, apparently it wasnt running on xt.

If a XT SIM was in the iphone it can't attach to any other networks in NZ its not possible

Magnum mac are incorrect in this case

yeah thats what i thought, the only thing that changed was th xt logo appeared on phone, and of course internet stopped working.

so does any iphone work , as i wanting to get one and put it on xt but am unsure on what one to get , do i get the normal one or the unlocked one
