thefatmould: I purchased my iPod Touch on the day it was announced last year from the apple online store. It synced fine with my laptop running vista for three months then when I tried to sync one day it did not show up in iTunes. It did however connect to windows and also showed in the iTunes taskbar icon right click menu as "Eject "Tom's Touch"" (Tom's touch is my iPod's Name). I then performed a full restore of my iPod and it worked for two or three syncs before it reverted to it's origional symptoms. I then gave up on it for a few months but have decided to continue to try and fix it. I have over the last few days performed a full removal of iTunes and then installed it again. This left the same symptoms. So I then tried it on the iMacs at school and it did not show up either whereas my friends iPod touch 2G 8GB did. I want too claim under warrenty but am checking here to see if there is any ideas from people here as to what could be done to fix it? I look forward to hearing your thought and ideas and whether you think it will be replaced under warrenty ( I have AppleCare)
