Hi all.

I'm a relative newcomer to all things iPhone and have just started getting a particularly annoying issue:

I open the Mail app, mail downloads and then bang! It's closed and i am back at the home screen.

I've synced, shut down and restarted the iPhone, I've deleted the mail account and reinstalled it, all to no avail.

Anyone have any ideas?

If the app is closing automatically it's a sign it's crashing. Probably need to do a Restore using iTunes.

Just answered my own question by checking the Apple support forums:

Seems it's not an uncommon issue.
