Fring now allows video calling over 3g, but what's more interesting is that apparently you can now make a video call from your iphone 4 to a desktop skype user....this is what I have been waiting for....

Works on my iPhone 3GS as well. Fring have had one way video with desktop clients for a while now.

Not sure how useful 2-way is on the 3GS though, as the camera doesn't face the screen.

Quality is worse than I thought. Both wifi and 3g modes look the same. Maybe a bug.

2-way video works on my 3GS too using Fring.
Could be useful when chatting the the grandparents overseas while the little one runs around the room.

Quality over WiFi was very poor though, no where near as good as computer > computer Skyping.

yeah the video to grandparents with the little one is what I want the iphone for - it would be great if I could call up their skype account from the phone and video conference that way....
