Apple has just let word out that it'll be bringing its super-selling slate to nine new markets. The Netherlands, Austria, Belgium, Hong Kong, Ireland, Luxembourg, Mexico, New Zealand and Singapore are all getting their hands on the device this Friday, July 23. We were just remarking on how the iPad's sales pace had slowed down recently, but this expansion in markets should move things along toward rounding the next milestone.

Wow, so three days away. Let's hope they have enough stock to go around.

They're not up in the store yet, but clicking on the iPad tab on Apple's web site says "starting from $799", hopefully pricing of all models will be added to the store today.

So have the Vodafone "iPad plans" come out yet?

For billions of years since the outset of time, every single one of your ancestors survived, every single person on your Mum and Dads side, successfully looked after and passed onto you life.  What are the chances of that like?

No, But I would guess that today we will see an announcement telling us to get ready for the announcement.

Vodafone's lack of a media release so far or comment in other areas like Twitter suggests to me that they aren't ready for the Friday launch. NBR claims they were also told "no comment" when they approached Vodafone this morning.

Of course it is early hours since the press release, but I would have thought the Vodafone marketing machine would have wanted to be all over this.

I know they announced they're getting them, but do they even have micro SIMs in the country ready to hand out to the Wi-Fi+3G owners in 3 days time?

Actually further to that, the NZ Herald is reporting 3G versions will ship with a micro SIM already inserted and you choose a plan from within the device.

That's really good then!  Makes the entire process easier than other countries.  Thanks for the heads up.

"iPad will be sold through...select Apple Authorised Resellers."

It's a safe bet that MagnumMac will be the place to go.

Eh???? How do you know subsidies are going to be offered? No where in the world can you buy a subsidised iPad on a plan, all data plans are prepaid, all iPads are sold at a fixed price.
