Pricing & Availability

iPhone 4 will be available for outright purchase for a recommended retail price starting from NZD$1,099 inc GST through Apple’s online store (www.apple.com/nz/store), and select Apple Authorised Resellers (www.apple.com/nz/buy). A new iPhone 3GS 8GB model will be available for outright purchase for just NZD$899 inc GST. iPhone 4 will roll out to many more countries later this year and Apple will announce availability and local pricing for these additional countries at a later date.

I can't seem to find pricing on the 32GB version. Anyone found any more info?

Pretty sure that was same price as 3GS before the 4 was released.

The current 16GB was $1049 so its only $50 more, its about what I expected. My guess for 32GB would be $1200-$1300.

Ok, that's not so bad then... Won't have a mortgage to pay anymore so should be fine :)

Wasn't the 16GB 3GS $1159 when it first released?

Seems like the iPhone 4 is cheaper this year thanks to the strong NZD.

me smells a fake press release. There is nothing on the Apple web site no pricing nothing. Why announce 17 countries and only list the NZ RRP. If's its a NZ only press release why list the other countries. I'm hoping it's real because that price is sharp. On the Vodafone web site the 3GS is listed at $1179.00 inc GST

Anyone know what 2nd hand 3GS's will be going for now? My stepmum was after one.
(She was going to buy a 4 from AT&T while she was in the states, but I managed to convince her not to!)

Around $600, according to some Twitter sources who are selling theirs on TradeMe.

Well if it's fake then there will be egg on the NZ Herald's face because they're reporting it as well.

Guys, it's not a fake. Let me know where you want me to send the original email from Apple. Multiple other sources have the same email.

I can confirm it's not a fake. It was emailed to my site by Fiona Martin, Apple PR person for NZ. And yes the iPhone 3GS 16GB was $1149 via Apple or $1179 from Vodafone so the iPhone 4 is cheaper by $50 / $80.
