Too many times places make all sorts of guesses and none of it ever comes true and of course Apple never comments.

I know iLounge is pretty respectable, but for me personally I'm just wasting my time reading about something that may not ever exist.

Exactly. The screen size of the iPhone hasn't changed since 2007 so it just doesn't make sense they would release a smaller sized iPad, chances are it will stay the same size as it has for the iPhone, I personally think it's a good size.

Having said that, I think the new iPod Touch rumor is a strong possibility.

The one rumour that ended up not coming to fruition, but WAS based on fact was the iPod Touch with camera last September.

At the eleventh hour Apple pulled it and simply released the new Touch as we know it.

Cases had been designed, prototypes surfaces all over the place and yet it got canned moments before launch.

Things change quickly in Appleland. The nano was never supposed to have a capacity bump, but the Zune came out with a larger capacity version at the same price so the Nano suddenly doubled in capacity...hence the reason weird 4gb versions of the fifth gen Nano appeared in places like Russia and Sweden.

iLounge is a good place for speculation (I'm a regular contributor on their boards) but it's largely nothing more than wish-listing.

Also...a small iPad would be a new iPod Touch or iPhone...don't see that happening any time soon.

Maybe in June there'll be a 4" screen version of iPhone 5, but maybe not.

I wouldn't be entirely surprised to find them releasing a new iPad in time for Xmas.

Maybe they will include some of the features that were obviously missing from the current models. (like a front facing camera)
