Right,

I have my 2 degree micro sim ready to go into my new iphone when it arrives. I am going to port over my current vodafone number when I do, but I need to keep my current phone active up until I can port it over. I need to keep in contact.

My question is am I able to activate my iphone with the new micro sim and then port over my vodafone number ? Or will I need to port over first, then  activate ?

Or does it not matter ?  This will be my  first iphone so am not sure.

Doesn't matter, activate then port.
