The time has come people! What do you think Apple will announce at 5am tomorrow? (NZT)

What I'm expecting..

  • iPod Touch with camera (FaceTime) and Retina Display

  • Touchscreen iPod Nano

  • Some sort of Nano/Classic refresh

  • iTunes update

What I'm hoping for (but not expecting)..

  • iTV (with integration for NZ!) :)

  • iLife

  • iPad firmware update

  • iTunes over the cloud? With free MobileMe!

The touchscreen for the new Nano is rumoured to be 3cm x 3cm which is too small to be able to display any useful information so it sounds like it will be used for the purpose of having 'dynamic buttons'. I think they'll probably downsize the Nano a bit and drop the Shuffle.

It will be interesting to see how the iTV thing plays out, but who knows whether it will be announced tomorrow.

Really hoping its not going to be that small. You are supposed to be able to watch videos on that thing!

But even for only having buttons its gonna be very hard for a lot of people.

Surprised to see no posts this morning about it, just having a quick watch of a live blog but what I've seen so far:

New ipod nano - looks as big as a matchbox, new shuffle, touch and apple tv
iOS 4.1 with some bug fixes

The touch basically has all the good bits of iphone 4 without a phone function

Also iTunes 10 comes out today

The new Touch looks terrific, just checking it out on the Apple site. Nice that it gets the cameras. FM has always been on my wish list, but no dice.

I think they got it wrong with the iPod Touch camera...they state the stills are able to be captured at a resolution of 960x720...surely that's far too low a resolution to make photos useful?

Video recording, HD (720p) up to 30 frames per second with audio; still photos (960 x 720) with back camera
VGA-quality photos and video up to 30 frames per second with the front camera
Tap to control exposure for video or stills
Photo and video geo tagging over Wi-Fi

New Nano is an odd one, too.

No more video capability, ditched the camera that they touted so much last year, tiny touch screen, no capacity bump, pricing remains pretty much the same.

Not terribly excited, I have to say.
