There is no way to change the capture format on the phone the only way to change it to a mp4 is to convert the file

By the way the videos recorded are 720p so they are HD

thank you so much.

I only got my phone last night and I decided to take test videos (with low light) and they came out really bad.

but I tried this morning and they are HD quality.
so note to self, only make videos with natural day time light :D

cheers guys

MP4 and MOV are containers only for video recorded with the MPEG-4 codec so within the apple / quicktime world they are basically interchangeable.

Yup I have been impressed with the video quality as well. Just keep in mind the tiny lens cannot let much light in (unlike a large SLR lens) so always film with as much light as possible. The more the better.

But as they say, the best camera is the one you have on you at the time (well photographers say) and this is pretty good considering the lens.
