I've got the Consume app on my iphone 4, it's great but I can't get it to work for my Telecom account. I have a Your Telecom login, that doesn't work. It's a T-stick on account. Any ideas? Great app.

Not that this really helps, but i use it for my vodafone mobile, and telecom broadband usage, and it works fine. Your using the mobile broadband option i assume.

Well if no one else suggests anything, i emailed the app makers, and they got back to me the next day, might be worth a try, might be a bug.

I did email them but never heard back, I guess I'll try again, were you emailing them about that or something else?

I've tried all the options grrrr damn annoying! Anything spring to mind about yours? Do you keep the 0 in the front of the mobile number or drop it?

I use the number in the form 027*******, and password I setup here www.telecom.co.nz/mbbmeter. to get a password: click on send new password and then when you receive the password via text, login on that page, click change password on the new page and then you are all set!!

Ah we might be getting somewhere, I get a message "Access Unavailable: Sorry, you do not have access to this website." so there must be a problem at the Telecom end with my account perhaps.

Got my XT Prepaid loaded up and working instantly without any issues..

However, I can't get my Telecom home broadband loaded up.

I've tried entering my username with and without the "@xtra.co.nz"

Don't have anything entered in the optional "Line" field

Any suggestions?

I've checked and rechecked my password and it works without trouble on the Telecom website login

The app seems very impressive otherwise

Telecom Broadband requires a "your telecom" set up I think. U can email yourself the log from the app and see where it was trying to login.

or

Also won't work through a wifi connection, they will only work thru your 3G connection.
Turn wifi off if you have it on and see if it makes a difference.

I just installed consume and can get my XT mobile BB, XT T-stick BB and Xtra BB straight away fine.

Thanks for the tips guys..

So turns out its not a problem with Consume (obviously), but somewhere on my network. It works fine on 3G and a different wifi network

Yeah the Your Telecom portal is weird...I can't access it from my father in laws place (he's on TelstraClear ADSL) but have no problem anywhere else.

The Consume guys and girls are great and are really responsive to feedback, or to adding new services. I've managed to get them to add Flybuys and some other services within a few weeks of me sending in the usage html data. Very cool.

Marc, the designer, and I are both moderators on the MacTalk Australia forum. There is a specific forum section for Bjango issues on that site (Bjango is the company that develops Consume) so if you run into any problems you can always post a message there and Marc will pick it up asap.

Also follow @Bjango on twitter, again a great way to get in touch with them.
