So it seems I have a DST-related issue with both my iPhone (4.1) and iPad (3.2.2).  Similar to the alarms issue but different.

If I create an appointment in Outlook on my Windows desktop (under my company's Exchange server) it syncs to both the iPhone and iPad but shows as an hour early in their calendars.

If I create an appointment on either the iPhone or iPad, however, it syncs to the correct time on the Windows Outlook desktop.  Ditto if I create an appointment using Exchange OWA in the web app ... it syncs to the correct times across the iPhone, iPad, and desktop Outlook.

No settings have been changed and all settings checked, reset, and checked again.

Seems like this is another Apple DST issue needing an iOS update for little ol' NZ?  (Fat chance.)

Any ideas??  I keep turning up an hour early for meetings ... !

Mark

THe issue isn't just one in NZ, Australians who moved to DST on the weekend had the same issue.

Reports are it's already fixed in 4.2 but that's not available yet.

Hi and thanks for the reply.

I noted the Australian problems too (that's a few more million to lend weight to our cause!).

However I haven't found anyone else complaining about appointments being out of sync in this way.  All the comment I've found has been about alarms going off too early.

Have you seen it somewhere re calendars too?

Cheers,
Mark

An update for anyone watching:

I'm not alone.  Have found other users here at my company who are experiencing similar issues.

Strange though, as it doesn't affect everyone.  E.g. someone who was in Geneva when our NZ daylight saving kicked in, doesn't have the problem and his iPhone appointments are perfect.

And we have a developer version of iOS 4.2 on an iPad here ... that does appear to fix the problem!  C'mon Apple - roll it out!

Regards,
Mark

At the risk of annoying you, can I ask if you have checked that the timezone settings for your PC and server are correct?
I have found that the "out by one hour" problem occurs reasonably frequently with meeting requests between different organisations and is usually resolved when one or other of the parties discovers that their timezone and/or DST settings are out of whack. Of course, you may have this all sorted, in which case I withdraw that interjection.

Not annoying at all - I welcome any suggestions!

My company IT folks are digging into it some more but they swear everything checks out.  We're upgrading to Exchange 2010 soon so perhaps that will help.  Frustrating in the meantime though!

Thanks for your comments.
