Hi,
I have an iPhone 3G Version 4.1 model MB702LL and cannot change the APN settings in order to be able to access the XT network. It was sent to me from Americal and has been on the AT&T network. If this has already been posted can someone please point me in the right direction? I have tried my best to look through both this and the Telecom forum but cannot find anything about APN settings that cannot be changed by clicking into Cellular Data. Thanks

If not here is my problem, I am not tech savvy so please bear with me

I've been through unlockit.co.nz downloaded the APN app, iphonenewzealand.co.nz and tried their Manual Carrier settings but I cannot change the APN manually as when I go to Settings>General>>Netowrk Cellular data only comes up as an on/off switch and I cannot get into it to change it. In Settings>General>Profile I have APN carrier settings as downloaded from unlockit.co.nz but this does not seem to have done anything (have i missed the "go" switch??).
My friend unlocked/jailbroke my phone and has said that that has worked fine although reading through forums on the net Cydia seems to be a problem for people, and I know it comes up with a error message to do with Xselliz (something similar) which we have tried to delete (but now trying to make the error message come up it wont... Murphys law...) is this the problem? Or is it just now up to putting in the correcy APN address and being on my way?

If someone could please, in simple terms, explain to me the program I need to download so I can change the APN settings to telecom or how to break into the phone to do so, that would be so so wonderful and you would be my hero/heroine.

On top of that, once this is done will my telecom sim car work? Or is there something else I still need to do?
