Rather interesting indeed.  Found it while looking through Tomshardware.com

Sounds like the way the guy is getting the parts is a bit dodge, he has been sent a letter about selling stolen parts.

Haha, not sure about being Dodgy with the parts, but there was a guide on Engadget a while back too, most of the parts are just chinese knockoffs...but then again the iPhone is made in China so probably the same factory!

I have thought about getting a white back plate. Don't like the look of the white front. I have some white decal vinyl somewhere might just cover it

I believe he bought the parts from Foxcomm  who make the iPhone.  Apple who can't seem to get a white iPhone to market this side of 2012 are trying to shutdown  this guy and anyone else who has modified one from selling them on Ebay.
