Hey all,

I'm needing to get my iPhone repaired (out of warranty), and was wondering where to go in Wellington.

Basically the sim ejector/tray is ruined (i.e. No matter what I do, I cannot eject the sim card) and at the moment it has my friend's sim stuck inside. I had taken it to a few stores and they couldn't open it either.

So, where can I go that won't cost me the earth? Is this an easy repair I could do myself?

Thanks in advance! :)

Best bet would be Renaissance AKA MagnumMac on Vivian St - no guarantees though

The latest I know about this is here:

"In line with our major handset partners, Vodafone has moved its repair work to BrightPoint effective 1 March.

Turn around time should be about four days (drop off at store, two days at BP, one day back to store) but there have been a few teething issues for which we apologise.

Repairs from non-Vodafone stores - Magnum Mac is an authorised service centre so they should be handling the process directly. There's no need to take a MM purchsed iPhone to a Vodafone store to get support. You can go back to them."

If you bought from Vodafone you can return it to a Vodafone store and they will forward for repairs. Or you can take it to a Magnum Mac store.

Note that "repair" is actually replacing your iPhone with a refurbished unit. Make sure to backup everything and if possible even reset your device before sending out.
