Hello everyone I was recently on http://www.iphonewzealand.co.nz/ and saw iphone 4 on sale at duty free shops in auckland airport. I tried googling but had no luck on the price of iphone 4 in the Auckland airport and was wondering if anyone knew ^_^?

Thanks!

All I can find at www.jrdutyfree.co.nz is iPod's and the pricing is the $NZ Apple Store pricing minus the GST. No iPad's or iPhone's as far as I can see.

They are now selling iPads and Mac computers duty free at the airport. Don't think iPhones are though.

hi to get iphones duty free, please buy from HK apple

www.apple.com/hk

and get it sent to a friend, and he'll send through to you in NZ.

Just put Mobile phone sample on the invoice and you'll get them duty free..

Postage included is about $900

The problem I can see with them selling the iPad is the cheapest one is $707. That amount blows your dutyfree concession by $7 so customs can then charge you GST on the full amount taking the price back up to the RRP in NZ!

I've heard rumors of customs looking at NZ RRP's for products were they believe the value has been falsified but have yet to ever get anybody to officially confirm this happens. Anybody know if this is infact the case?

Remember the NZ duty free allowance is a lot less than this - it's $750 if you're flying/arriving by ship  however for mailed goods GST/duty is not collected if the value of the tax is under $60.

This used to mean you could import goods with a value of up to $400 (incl freight charges).
