Facetime is IMHO a vastly superior video calling platform. Being SIP based there is no technical reason why it can't work with the large number of SIP based videophones and devices out there. Ther only thing preventing this at present is Apple not releasing the finer details of how they've done things.

FaceTime is ok but id like 30fps video rate not capped 15fps.

Oh and 3g calling too.

Hi - tried it on my iPhone 3GS & it works well.... of course only having a rear-facing camera means that the other party will see what's behind my phone.... or I can turn it around, but not see my caller... or hold it up to a mirror....

Cheers,
Mike

Is skype higher frame rate than FaceTime? If it is, the poor resolution of the image negates skypes advantage. Everything on skype seems worse than FaceTime except the 3G compatibility.
Has anyone figured out how to make the incoming video bigger than the outgoing? The default is stupid, I can see my end of the call by looking - don't need a screen view!
Edit: figured it out. Your not allowed a large view of incoming call when on rear camera. Annoying. And wow res is low. FaceTime when ever possible for me!
