Quick test. A friend sent this link http://www.youtube.com/#/watch?v=563okBxstw8, can anyone play it in iOS? I sure can't. Also, it doesn't even show in search results on the mobile site; only if I switch to the desktop version (in which case it won't play of course, being Flash)

I notice the same for a lot of music on YouTube on iOS. Can anyone confirm?

I have had this happen on a different video, but same apparent problem. Interesting.

It's probably just that that video is only avaliable in flash and not HTML5.

Ah. What decides what format it's in? Age of video?

I have noticed this before, if you go to the video directly it tells you it's not
Authorized for iPhone viewing, or something like that

I have noticed that some youtube videos are not found on on the iPhone. Was watching one that appeared to be the first part of 3 on my notebook and I couldn't find the same video in youtube on my iPhone

Most music videos on Vivo channels are blocked for viewing on mobile devices, and some videos are blocked from being viewed outside of North America.

Interesting; even many community-uploaded (unauthorised) videos are blocked. There are literally millions of these available on the desktop version.
