I don't know why my post doesn't show up. well here it goes

Hi guys,

On march 25, 3:20 am i ordered a white ipad2 32GB 3G. On 7th of april Apple has finally charged my card however at about 2:00pm apple sent me an email stating that my debit card has been declined. I called up their customer service to know what had happen and they told me that there was a system error and that everything is fine now.

On 8th of april i received another credit card declined letter from apple. Unsatisfied, i went to the bank to see where the problem lies. The bank told me there has been 6 transaction from apple and 1 transaction has been approved while the other 5 has been declined. I called up the customer service stating this fact and according to them the payment didn't show up on their system and asked me to request an authorization code from the bank for the approved transaction.

My bank statement still hasn't shown me the transaction for apple but my debit card has been charged. Today apple called me they can't guarantee the stock if the issue can't be resolved in 5 business days and possible delay to another 3 weeks.

Is there any way that I can end the dispute faster? Or is this a problem that is common? Is there any retail outlet that have any ipad 2 in stock? Thank you for your help guys.

This will be the fastest option....   once they can match up the auth codes or whatever it is they do with them, you should be away.

Otherwise cancel all transactions, use someone elses card and try again.

The bank should be able to give you the Authorisation code within 12 hours generally from the approval transaction time. I had similar issue in the past. Which bank is the card with ?

That's very odd.  With Westpac, they've always been able to give me an authorisation code for a transaction.  Which department at the bank did you speak to?

I called both BNZ customer service and credit cad department. Both of them said they can't do anything until the transaction has appeared on my statement. This is a bit weird because in the past the transaction usually appeared on my statement within 12 hours.

Unless its in a Limbo where its actually declined and the refund is about to come back to you ?
the last time it happened to me with Bank Direct they gave the code pretty much immediatly.

Is there a reason to why apple charged me 6 times? 4 from apple australia 1 from apple uk and 1 from apple ireland.

UPDATE: I added extra funds to my debit card to see if they double charge me. Hopefully the payment got through because i really don't want to experience another delay on the iPad.

I always have a second credit card for when stuff like this happens. Occasionally I have had one card declined somewhere (for no valid reason and it's not worth trying to waste time tracking it down), so having the second card helps in this case.
