I ordered my 32GB wifi-only black iPad 2 and a VGA adapter online from Apple at about 7pm 25 March.
Today, surprisingly, the status of my order on iPad 2 turns from Not Yet Shipped to Prepared for Shipment. But there's someone ordered his iPad 2 on the same day and it's already shipped 2 days ago.
I envy him...

Anyway, how long will it take to turn from Prepared to Shipped?

Thanks

Steven

Usually only a matter of hours. "Prepared For Shipment" means 'we're getting it boxed up, addressed, and arranging for the courier to come pick it up' in simple terms.

You'll get a tracking code with TNT. TNT reuse their tracking numbers so sometimes the website takes a little longer to update with the details of your order, so don't be surprised if you log in and find its already been delivered somewhere else in the world!

Thanks first...

And the TNT thing happened with my VGA adapter.. It's like delivered to Germany when Apple initiate the delivery...

It would depend on the model you ordered. I ordered mine on the day the store opened, and got it 8 days ago.

I ordered mine on the 25th of March with an initial shipping time of 4-5 weeks.
I now have a tracking number and it tells me to expect it on Tuesday... fingers crossed!

Hi,

I ordered mine on 25th March at 7:30am and it changed to prepared to ship on Friday 8th April. It did not ship until Tuesday 12th April. It arrived in Auckland on Thursday night at 5:30pm and was delivered on Friday morning.

The original ship date on the order was 15 April.
