Hi folks

Keen to give a prezzie to a mate who has his first IPAD which he unboxed yesterday. Very jealous as mine is still being made :(

Before i fork out monies I'm a bit confused as to the difference between useability of ITUNES cards and Apps Cards.  Can't find consistent information online as a lot appears to relate to US / Canada issues.

The Warehouse sells both versions in $20 sizes. I'm pretty sure he will mainly want to download games / apps and will need to pay for some I guess. He has a huge music collection already so I'm pretty sure it will be more apps focussed shopping.

Will either card work online or do I have to be careful which card I pickup ?

Thanks for any advice.

Ged

iTunes or App Store gift cards should both just credit your iTunes account, it doesn't matter whether you spend it on apps or media.
You should look out for a frequent special where you can often get 2 x $20 cards for $30. This is an excellent deal!
I got some app store gift cards for my birthday, is a very good gift!

Cheers,
Joseph

quite often DSE, warehouse or Countdown have them on special at 2x 20's for $30.
Usually rolls around every couple of months or so.

really happy to see this, because I saw them the other day, and thought hmm I wonder if they only allow one sort of download (music for itunes card, apps for app card) or if they would infact just provide credit for all sorts of things.

Thanks heaps!
and I think the 2 $20 for $30 shouldn't be too far away, I haven't seen it for a couple of months, so must about be due for another I think.

The only thing to consider though is that NZ gift cards can only be used with a NZ iTunes Store account. Most accounts created here will be NZ accounts, unless your friend has created the account while overseas, using an overseas-sourced card.

I saw about 50x $20 at the DSE ;p I think you meant the 2 x $20 for $30?
