So i read that you could activate iOS beta 5 using a few swipes and button presses - turns out you cant!

I have my iphone running iOS 5 but i can not use the phone function, nor can i restore from back up :(

I have searched online and none of the main UDID registration sites are accepting at the moment, so im in a bit of a pickle as im unsure if i can down grade to 4.33

My UDID is {MOD EDIT : SP : Removed}, if anyone has a spare slot i would be most appreciative if you can add me, i don't mind paying!

Notifacatins are cool, stills few bugs though. Gestures on the iPad are pretty cool. Defiantly worth a try

Best not to post you UDID on here because it can be used for things you would rather not know.

At the top of the post is a few buttons, Friend, Email, Quote etc and Edit

your UDID is still shown as the first respondent has copied your original message.
you might want to ask him to edit his quote also. just my 2 cents opinion :) hehe

oh and i am also running iOS 5.0 on my toy and its wonderful! :)
everything is working so smoothly and virtually doing everything i was on iOS 4.3.3
i have not noticed anything that has stopped me from.
cant wait for it to be finally released so that i can use iMessage with lots of people on my contact! haha

You can only edit posts 15 minutes afterwards.
I have sent a message to the mods to have your UDID removed for you in the second quoted reply.

Biggest issue I have had so far with 5.0 is that iMessage won't activate. Other than that looks pretty good.

what do you mean iMessage wont activate?
If you have got your beta version properly, then you should be able to send messages on both 3G and wifi.
i have it got it working on mine perfect and i am no ios dev. and have worked like magic :) hehe

oh it works, but it still says waiting for activation under settings. Also doesn't list my phone number in the settings either like others in the office.

thats rather odd tho.
on mine its all showing up as normal.
perhaps you need to restart?
or back up to your previous one?

Have we got any other developers with spare UDID slots? I would be interested in putting iOS5 on my iPad2
