Does anyone in New Zealand stock the Brando capsule microphones for an iPhone 3GS. The Brando HQ couldn't shed any light on this for me and they don't seem to do shipping this direction.

Brando usually ship to NZ no problem - have purchased numerous items from them in the past.  You may be able to find a similar product on Dealextreme for less (and free shipping), mind you.
