Hi I have just installed iOS 5 but have noticed that the USB syncing is very slow. I disabled wifi on my laptop because it appears that there is no way to turn wifi sync off... Anyone else notice this?

There is a tick box in iTunes 10.5, to disable or enable Wifi Sync

Regarding the WiFi Sync enable/disable - it is on iTunes for WiFi Sync as it ties to the iTunes Library that you normally sync to.

As for USB sync, I find it pretty fast on my iPad 2, but then the USB sync has always been very fast with iPad 2 compare to earlier iDevices, no doubt iPhone 4s will be fast as well.

Yes my iPad 1 and wife's 4S are VERY slow to sync over wifi if large amounts of data. New apps etc too, very slow.
If you know it's going to be a big sync, I just switch to Airplane mode before connecting to USB cable, 50 x faster perhaps.

Cheers,
Joseph

I see, I am using a smaller screen so I didn't have that box ticked anyway. Then this is bloody annoying that USB sync is much slower on iOS 5...
