I already have an on-going contract with vodafone, I just want to change my phone.

So I need an iPhone that has no contract attached to it.

They say they are short on stock, so cannot sell an iPhone 4S to those who want to buy straight out with no contract (same applies for Telecom).

I think I have been waiting long enough... Visited my local vodafone store everyday as they were out of stock.. They refilled their stock that is what they tell me..

Anywhere to get a 32gb iPhone 4S with no contract for the retail price of $1199 ??

Thanks guys..

IFAIK this is the case nationwide with both VF & TC.  I doubt the situation will be changing any time soon, might be quicker to just order one yourself:

I have a friend who bought one today on contract from Harvey Norman N/Wood.
Call first and then go in maybe?
Having said that, if you want one contract free... well, go direct to Apple.

They were, but I think that as they have become scarce they are strictly on contract now.
