Hey guys, I recently bought an iPhone 4 off ebay because I'm not keen on paying a lot for one so I thought why not get a used one that looks new?
Anyways, it's a 16gb one locked to AT&T with iOS 5.0.1 and baseband 4.11.08. I have no idea how to unlock it and have searched up ways on google and on youtube but still don't know how to unlock it.
If anyone can help, please, please, please help me! I would really appreciate it!

What is the modem firmware version, most likely it cannot be software unlocked. You can get a Gevey SIM but it's a messy process. Google Gevey SIM.

Fair enough. But what possessed you to buy a locked one fom the US? Surely you could have got an unlocked one cheaper off TradeMe?

stitch, I actually haven't received the iPhone yet which is why I'm trying to get instructions firts so I can quickly unlock it when I get it. I hear there's no gevey sims for iPhone 4's with iOS 5.0.1?

SaltyNZ, It's actually more expensive on trademe.

Please, if someone knows any way of helping, please help ASAP!

Only if you can get it working - if not, you have an expensive paperweight.

Hmmm, about a hundred bucks in it, but as another poster has noted, only if you can get it to work. Right now, it can't be done.

EDIT: check the iPhone dev blog. Perhaps an update for your baseband version will come up. http://blog.iphone-dev.org/

It's ok guys, the seller allows returns so I've asked for a refund. I'm just a kid still and should be thankful with what I already have. I already have a phone even though if its a cheap Android so I'm just gonna get an iPod Touch.

True SaltyNZ.  Sorry, was looking at the Jailbreaking, not unlock and bb.

Cheers for pointing that out.
