At the current time (March 2012) what in your opinion is the best Iphone plan for your money?

What is the best Iphone plan around the $50 area?

How much data do you use?

Thanks,
Nathan

I bought my phone outright and use 2 degrees.

I use the base plan, 60 mins (anywhere NZ) plus you get 100 bonus mins, 2500 txts, 50 Mb, which is $29 a month.

I then add a 1gb data block for $20 which expires after a month.

All up I pay about $50 a month which at the time I swapped was a good saving, haven't checked since. Although I notice 2 degrees is offering free 1gb data to anyone signing up to a $39$ plan and above. I would do that!

Yep - I agree. I am with 2Degrees on the $39 plan. That gives me 120mins + bonus 100mins every month, 2500 texts, and 100MB of data. And since I signed up for 12 months on that plan, I get a bonus 1GB every month.

So for $39 I get;

   220mins
   2500 texts
   1.1GB data

Pretty good deal I reckon!!

Plus their text/call rates to OZ/UK are very reasonable.

Your paying $10 too much a month.

This is what I did with my iP4. I am on this plan without the 12 month contract, you can sign up online without signing into 12 months. However I am looking at upgrading to the latest Galaxy (S3)... Whenever it is out.

Actually you might be right there - I upgraded my plan online and there is now no mention of any contract length.

+1 2degrees, the wife's iPhone bought outright and not on 2degrees prepay.
1gb data for $20 covers most of her usage (yay iMessage) and a few more bucks for texts and occasional call.

Cheers,
Joseph

You've been sold a lie, son. Size *definitely* matters.

Ahem...

I have a 16GB iPad, but a 64GB iPhone 4s. Most of the 64GB is music.

iPad Pro 11" + iPhone 15 Pro Max + 2degrees 4tw!

These comments are my own and do not represent the opinions of 2degrees.

I have a 16gb ip4. Just enough for music and photos. Mine may end up on TM soon. I am starting to get over the poor wifi performance.

Another vote here for 2degrees. They're not perfect, but telcos never are.

I particularly like the fact that you can easily buy extra data during your billing cycle, or switch between different data add-ons if your data usage is quite inconsistent.

Ack. I cocked that up! Perhaps I meant she is NOW on 2 degrees.
To summarise: iPhone - Great, 2degrees - great!

I agree with all the 2 degrees votes. I have a 16gb iPhone & it's good, definitely wouldn't want any less. The more storage capacity you can afford the better. But an 8 or 16gb iPhone is better than no iPhone.
