Bought only a few days ago from Sony Sylvia park, thought it would be the all in one solution for my beyer t1 and speakers, but its a tad bright for my t1's. So looking for a tube amp instead.
RRP $899, willing to let for for $650, pick up in Auckland or buyer pays for courier, have original box and accessories

Hey, have you listed a price, location and how much shipping would be to other parts of New Zealand? Also if you are asking for a PM make sure your Privacy settings allow your account to receive PM otherwise people can't contact you. Also note if you are selling something we ask you to offer to other members first. Links to private sales (including Trade Me posts) aren't accepted anymore and will be removed.

I have struggled with the science behind this for a long time.

I bought a Fiio E17 and thought exactly the same. A tad bright. If not very bright. no bass. I stopped there, after enquiring about all other $1000 amps, and nearly bought a Bifrost - Asgard combo on so many occasions.

But surely all DACs that are uncoloured would make the same signals. RIght?
And all amps that are uncoloured will amplify the signal the same. RIght?

ANyway, I have a LCD-2 and no DAC/AMP ;p

Someone please explain

Try a pair of Blue Mo-Fi headphones - built in amp. Works with any source. OK, no DAC but plenty of headroom and oomph with no significant colour or distortion.
