Hi Daniel, You don't mind if they are a bit faded or have paint around edges? so Cat5 jacks ok or you need Cat5e?

Nope faded/paint is fine.

Do I need e for gigabit?

I have been able to get into the management console on that 24 port switch, just had to set flow control to "none" on the com1 port. Heres pics of the management screens if you are still interested. You should be able to expand the pic if you right-click on it... Not sure how the port trunking works, instruction booklet doesn't say what protocol it uses.

absolutely, and you would also need to make sure the cabling doesnt have any kinks or tight bends or too much untwisted/exposed wire.

Unfortunately shipping to Dunedin would add up a bit, so best not to send the bulky flushmount boxes. $5 per double PDL plate with cat5e keystones plus $6 for courier. Interested?

I'd say the boxes would fit in the largest courier post bag? $18?

So u mean surface mount boxes to mount onto wall or flush mount boxes (ie recessed inside the wall)? I would need a special trip to find a post shop for a big courier bag, so shipping probably at least $12 if you want mounting boxes. Just as cheap to send 2 of the A5 bags I already have. Dont have time to go shopping for post bags at moment anyway, so maybe I throw in a couple of RJ45 phone leads for free.

BTW, if surface blocks then do you want the chunk taken out of top or side for cable entry?
