SumnerBoy: Yeah - I already have the RX-V3800 which is a pretty decent amp - but lacks the fancy networking stuff. I am looking forward to integrating into my home automation system as well - should be a fun little project!

Yup. The V3800 is the consumer version of the RX-Z7 which in my opinion sonically is one of the best amps ever made. I was worried as I was told the A3030 wasn't as good, but I'd say I didn't notice much difference and for the convenience of the networking it was well worth the upgrade.

Good to hear - I am not that much of an audiophile so I doubt I will notice the difference (assuming I get this new one!). But as you say, being able to control it remotely will make life a lot easier.
