I think everyone stopped as you said things would wrap up at 8. Forums don't work great for bidding.

Sorry mate, my bids were placed. You did insist on an auction, you have your auction results. Please dont try ask for higher offers outside of that.

to be fair, i did make a higher offer than the winning bid earlier this afternoon via pm, but later withdrew it as OP was set on the auction. Wasent too keen on bidding, and was definitely not going to bid against @nakedmolerat 's story. All in all, good outcome i think, gratz @nakedmolerat.

I agree - as a bidder myself (and in the forum, not via PM) I am surprised you are now asking for best offers.  You said what you would be happy with early on, you got several offers above that.

And well done to @nakedmolerat, I really hope the family you are donating this to enjoy it.

All good, yeah didn't expect to see a last second bid war, I offered the best offer seeing as 3 memebers were trying to get it.

But as it stands nakedmolerat did win it.

I won't do the bid system again, lesson learned there, so appologies for that.

Chuck me a PM with an address. 2 laptops between 6 school-aged kids is still not enough. I'll send you down another machine I've got here :)
