Thank you, I note the failure to answer any of the questions posed.

My apologies for referring to your hatred of an inanimate object as an emotional outburst.

noroad:

running the fan constantly and noisy, then the fan rubbing/buzzing constantly

Interesting, and potentially even more tempted now...

Personally love a bit of decent fan noise, buzzing - white noise etc

Happen to find this type of thing very soothing, and rather comforting even

So this potential aspect to a device would be a real positive for us 👍

Only downside... our sad lack of requisite funds

This would not have been for you Harlan, cashed up or not. The fan noise you desire is absent, this one runs in shush mode.

A qualified opinion is published here on CNET.

"If I was still commuting regularly on a bus or train, the HP Envy x360 13 two-in-one laptop would be on my shortlist. It would also be a top consideration if I were shopping for an older high school or college student. It's small, stylish and light at just less than 3 pounds (1.3 kg). Battery life is long despite the size. And the AMD Ryzen 5-4500U processor delivered performance beyond that of pricier Intel chips. Add in fast Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.0 and, essentially, you're getting a speedy little two-in-one that's ready for working from home or remote learning but is also ready for your backpack. "

That is of course for the next generation after yours, with the 4000 series chip, which are apparently a significant improvement.

I should get a new fan for mine as it does the same thing when the chassis is flexed certain ways.

Personally I'm with OP it's really rude to discuss price and the actual product being sold it in a negative light. OP is trying to sell the item, if you don't agree with it move on.

Agree. It's already in the rules that price discussions happen via PM only, maybe that should be added... It's up to the buyer to do their own research and one person's personal opinion does not a review make...

GZ is an open forum, subject to posting in accordance with the FUG. And it should remain so. There are other options to list products for sale if you want to limit/moderate feedback.

If ever there's a forum that could be left alone, this is it. GZ is about helping others, not hindering. If every FS post was hijacked by negative contribution, the forum would quickly lose its effectiveness. I'm quite sure that just about every single device available has some negative story floating around, especially when it's subjective opinion.

Do you cruise the local PB Tech store, waiting to pounce upon anyone considering a device that you don't like? No, didn't think you were that brave. If you can't do it in real life, why do it here? Does the keyboard enhance your bravery?

Leave it out, this forum is really between seller & buyer. Want to go public about your noisy laptop fan or whatever issue you're having? Post in the laptops & mobile computing forum - you might even find an answer there.

Better is a subjective term, but as a seller I can quantify a few improved areas for you, pretty much every metric really.

Versatility - laptop / tablet / tent
RAM: 4GB vs 16GB - do more things faster
Hard Drive: NVMe SSD is so much quicker than mechanical SATA drives & noticeably quicker than SSD SATA
Screen: 1366 x 768 (1Mpix) vs 1920 x 1080 (2 Mpix) plus you gain Touchscreen
Processor speed is about equal
Portability - thinner, lighter, longer battery life
Connectivity - new gen USB-C

It's always going to be a dominant victory for the later model item when comparing this year's product to a 4 year old item.
