neb: See my previous post, Vodafone are still listing it as "months away" so there's no point logging a fault.

Just checked back, it's now December and it's still "months away". In fact apart from iPhones there are more phones with status "months away" than actually supported for WiFi calling.

Guess SureSignal will be need to be kept around for awhile longer... @cokemaster, do you still have it and where in New Lynn are you?

I don’t want to get your hopes up… yesterday there was a SMS sent with the following:

Final Reminder: Sure Signal will shut down from this Friday 10 December. If you rely on this service to stay connected at your place, you'll either need to enable the Wifi Calling service if your phone is compatible or upgrade your mobile device to access it. To check if your device is compatible, visit vodafone.co.nz/wificalling or for more information, visit vodafone.co.nz/mobile/3g-sure-signal

If you really want it - happy to give it away but I firmly believe it’s going to be bricked this Friday.

Ah, in that case I'll wait and see what happens. Be interesting to see what pushback they get when there are more phones that don't support WiFi calling than ones that do, despite them being listed on the site as WiFi-calling compatible.

VodafoneNZ have deployed a few Nokia Micro cells running LTE / VoLTE 1800Mhz as replacements for some customers that ran the corporate Sure Signal units
