Got a new computer - one someone else (at PBTech) put together for me.

So now I've got an oldish computer (albeit, faster than the ones I use at work!) which I have half cannibalised.

I'm not sure what to do with it, but assume someone here may want parts of it.

This is the motherboard - http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=2358 GA-8I865GME-775-RH

I've got 2x 512MB of RAM. And a slightly dusty 9800XT graphics card.

I've stripped the HDDs out (one I've kept as a backup, and the other in my new PC), there's a broken CDROM drive and a 3.5" floppy. It's got some dusty IDE ribbon cable too!

There's a PCI dialup modem, and a WiFI card. Plus it looks like a separate ethernet card in the PCI, which I assume I had before these were built into motherboards?

Does anyone want to collect these from Auckland City? (I live in an apartment) It would be great if you could take everything. I don't care if you just want to resell it on trademe, as long as you're happy to take it off my hands!

If someone has a use for old RAM, or has an AGP slot that needs filling, then let me know! I'm happy if people just want parts.

I know you would prefer a pickup but would be happy to pay for the postage of the graphics card if you didn't mind popping it in a courier bag. If not all good.

Jtb, more than happy to do that if there's no replies from people keen to pick up in the next few days.

Actually JTB. Just PM me your address, I'll post it. Also tell me roughly what type of envelope you want it sent it.

I'm also posting the wifi card to someone, so that's off the list too.

BTW, all these things (except the CD drive) worked well before I stopped using the PC last month, but no promises. I'll try to find the driver CDs too if I can - but no promises there either.
