My old XFX 780i MB died a while ago and I'm looking for a new Motherboard. Needs to support/specs required

4GB+ DDR2 1066Mhz memory- Could do with 800Mhz
Core2 Quad processor
2 PCI express X16 sockets- For my GTX 260+ GPU since it needs the room that two ports provides
5+ Usb 2 ports

And it needs to be decent build quality, I have a TRUE Cpu heatsink which is known to bend or damage cheap boards.

Looking for any offers

Thanks

Try PB Technologies for ex-lease PCs. The last one I got had an Intel motherboard with all the specs you want, had a small hard drive and low spec CPU so was cheap. The only down side was that the one I got is low profile. It was Ipex branded which is a company that builds corporate PCs.

Later model Dell PCs are reliable, the previous unreliability was due to a capacitor manufacturer fault in the 90's.

You can never have enough Volvos!

Hi - upgraded my machine in the weekend so now have a spare Gigabyte 775 motherboard with Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 3.0 GHz and 8Mb (4 x 2Gb) RAM. I can't remember the mobo model off the top of my head, but I think it's a GA-EP45-UD3R (can check tonight).

I also have an unused (it's unpacked but not used) Asus P5Q PRO Motherboard, Socket 775, 1600MHz FSB, 4xDIMM DDR2, 2xPCIe-16, 2xPCI, 3xPCIe-1, 12xUSB2, Firewire, Audio, 1xATA, 8xSATA, RAID, ATX.

Email me if you're interested.

Cheers, Gary

Hi xpd, I'm looking at $275 all up (with the CPU and fan, and the RAM). Also have an Asus EN9600GT 1GB PCIe-16 video card that was in the machine the board came from. After $100 for that. I remembered the mobo model (almost). It's GA-EP4S-UD3R

Cheers, Gary
