I'm having a clean out, and I have a couple of servers I have just decomissioned from my home lab looking for new homes.

These things are getting a bit old but still run fine.

Server 1:

HP ML330 G3
2x 3ghz Xeons
4gb RAM
4x 80gb IDE HDD's

Server 2:

HP ML330 G3
2x 2.8ghz Xeons
3.25gb RAM
4x 80gb IDE HDD's

I have some spare parts for these, and I also have a similar era ML310 (P4 3ghz) that I haven't fired it up and tested yet but if anyone's interested I'm happy to chuck it in too.

FWIW I was running Server 2008 (32bit) on these machines, even thou it's not an officially supported OS, and they ran fine for a lab. I suspect these would also make fairly decent Linux boxes if that's your bent. I haven't tried, but the HP site lists Red Hat, SuSE, & UnitedLinux as supported.

Pickup from Paraparaumu, or possibly Brooklyn if you don't mind waiting a bit (my parents come to visit every 1-2 weeks and could take them home)

I'm open to offers, I'm not looking for moonbeans. I figured I'd post here before $1 reserving them on trademe because someone might want them for a home lab.

Hey, have you listed a price, location and how much shipping would be to other parts of New Zealand? Also if you are asking for a PM make sure your Privacy settings allow your account to receive PM otherwise people can't contact you.

*bump*

If anyone wants these, they are yours for a box or two of beers.

Are either capable of 64-bit (thinking of Windows Server Essential 2012, or Windows Server 2012 Hyper-V), and how loud are they?

Nah they are both 32bit only sorry Chiefie.

They are fairly quiet apart from during POST (max fans, sounds like a jet taking off)
