I think if you marry someone like NZTF or Me, who is also a gadget freak, you know what you are getting yourself in for and at worst I might attract the odd rolled eyes. At one stage I had 9 smartphones I bought whilst in HK. I played with each one and sold the rest for what I paid for them.

Pretty much this. Between re-sale and YouTube revenue I do fine. I think mine chooses to remain as ignorant as possible about my new phones and such like.
