New job, new contract with Vodafone for my mobile.

Got a handset subsidy, didn't need a new phone, so got an iPad.

Of course you are. But you might be lucky to get that especially given the new models are due for release soon and rumours currently say 22 October. People buying iPads at the moment will be looking for value since you will be able to purchase the latest and greatest soon at similar costs.

The rumour is that the new Mini will have Retina display too.

I'd +1 trademe too. even stick a low reserve on it ($400?). It will get bid up to a fair price.
